This was my 8th move and the absolute best home buying experience I've had. John filled a tall order with ease. We had 30 days to find a house, close and move in. And we were coming from out of state. John worked with us before our arrival and had 15 houses lined up the first day. With any other realtor, that would have been a stressful day. But John was extremely patient and considerate. He asked the right questions, pointed out the right things and even asked permission before offering his opinions... which were always spot on. He not only helped negotiate a very good price but was able to coax the previous owner out in time for us to move in by our deadline. Purchasing a home from out of state can be daunting, but working with John made the entire process seamless and reassuring from start to finish. We have moved several times in Oxford and all the brokers did a good job, but John was outstanding in terms of his knowledge not only of real estate but also his knowledge of construction, the history of the area, home sales and trends, and so much more:. He was very candid in pointing out potential problems with the properties as well as offering suggestions for how they could be fixed. If we had a question he couldn’t answer, he would research it and find the answer. His goal is never just to sell a house, but to make sure it is the right house. John is also extremely patient and personable. We already had a home we liked in Oxford and only wanted to move if we could find everything on our considerable wish list. John showed us dozens and dozens of houses (and multiple visits to those we were interested in) until we found just the right one. We ended up building, which can be a very frustrating experience, as we know from experience. The first time we didn’t go through a realtor and we were so glad that we had John’s help this time throughout every stage of the process. He came with us to pick out plans and finishes (which included many lengthy meetings) and he regularly checked on the progress of every aspect of construction. He also sold our old house in record time and for the asking price: it was on the market on Thursday and we had an offer by the next Monday. John was very helpful regarding pricing and getting the house ready for the market. We highly recommend John if you are in the market for a house! You will be glad you did!

We were provided with John Rucker. On our initial visit to Oxford, John took a good chunk out of his day just to show me around the town. We visited different parts of Oxford and he provided a ton of information on the area and different housing options. I'll never forget when Kendra called to say she had officially been offered a job at Ole Miss, I was with John at the Crye-Leike office. That was a great feeling! After accepting the position with Ole Miss Volleyball, we returned to Colorado to take the proper steps in closing everything out so we could transition to Oxford. Kendra found a house on Zillow that she absolutely loved, and when we returned to Oxford in May for her to officially begin, we scheduled a house visit with John. We both absolutely loved it, and it felt like home. That day, John assisted us with an official offer. By day's end, we received a call from John saying that the offer was accepted and we would be going under contract on 206 Nash Circle!!!! That was a great feeling. Kendra bunked up with some colleagues for the rest of may and the month of June. I returned to Colorado to finish up my work contract and also sell our condo. Everything on both fronts could not have timed out any better. John was in constant communication regarding everything we needed to complete. He guided us through this process so professionally and gracefully. Everything went as scheduled with 0 hick ups. We are now officially into our new home, and most recently got married. We could not be any happier to start this journey together in Oxford. We are excited to be great neighbors and great citizens in the community. John Rucker is the best agent with whom we have ever worked. He's a consummate professional: patient, efficient, very knowledgeable, and an excellent listener. He knows the Oxford area like the back of his hand, and only shows you properties that meet your needs. When we looked at properties that matched our needs for 90%, John was aways keen to point out the missing 10% to make sure we weren't settling for something, even when we might have been willing to do so. We must have looked at 30 houses with him, and each turned out not to be the one, but John remained patient and never made us feel we needed to buy something to conclude the process. In the end we decided to build a house, and John was all on board with that. He helped us negotiate a deal with the builder, including the sections of the finishes, and stayed engaged throughout the entire building process, making sure we were happy. When we neared completion of the new house, John took exactly four days to sell our current home at our aggressive asking price. He helped us stage the "old" house, and took excellent photographs to represent the property. The sale was quick and painless. In short, everything came together perfectly. One of John's greatest assets is that he is focused on the client 100% of the time, and always has your best interest at heart. He gives generously of his time, and you always have his undivided attention. I'd recommend him to anyone without the slightest reservation. He's the best, and I say that after working with a variety of agents over the years.
